There is more dog poo on the streets of London then any other town Ive stepped foot in. And since it rains a lot here you can about imagine how messy things can get. In fact I almost stepped in some today! Nasty!

I saw this little lady hanging out on the street. She looks like a good time but Im not sure what she was doing on the wall because there wasn't much else around her.

It hardly snows in London but these little snowdrops are popping up all over the city right now.

I guess one of my weekly photos is shaping up to be a self-portrait. I wanted to experiment with long exposure and paint my face into the photo with this little flashlight. I think it makes me look a bit darker then I am but then again we all have demons inside.

On my walk near the Wapping tube station I saw this lovely windmill. It was outside an old power plant that is now some sort of art gallery. They had all these doors and stuff all stuck up in a tree like a tornado had gone through there. It was pretty cool and in a beautiful neighborhood by the river!

We had a field trip to Waitrose today. It is the loveliest grocery store in the UK and the closest one to us is near Tower Bridge. I snapped this as we were driving over it. Its such a beautiful bridge and the clouds are quite haunting in the background.

I was living for this lady when she walked by me. Im not sure if she was getting ready for London Fashion Week or just running her errands but she was giving me a fierce walk. I am so jealous of her little push cart and wish I had one but I've been told that I would look like a knob pushing it down the Walworth Road!

These bikes are about as new to London as I am. I think it is a pretty cool scheme and hopefully my fear of automatically going on the right side of the road will pass soon and I can start using them to get around the city...once the weather becomes a bit more agreeable!

I have the laziest dog ever. I wanted to say cutest and even though I may think so you may not so I wont do that. All he does is sleep away in the bed all day.

I really like Big Ben. The tower is just full of amazing detail which I only discovered after fiddling with this picture a bit. The only downside to seeing the tower is that it is completely surrounded by tourists! It makes me wish I had a magic wand that could make them all disappear while I was around.

I often find myself staring out this window. Its so nice to be able to see a street and people walking by unlike my old apartment where it was just a wall. Then again on Saturday nights when the pub is bumping and I am trying to sleep I start thinking other, more angry thoughts.

I found this little lady dancing away on the wall. I've heard of the TV show "Dance Your Ass Off" but never thought you could dance your head off!

Jonty accompanied me on my daily photo trek today. It was a nice walk but a bit cold and he had to put up with me stopping every few minutes to snap away. He is such a good sport!

These guys occupy the grounds of the church next door and are always being fed by people passing through. Normally I don't like feeding wild animals but I brought some bread with me to see what would happened. Trust me when I say it is not wise to sit on the ground and throw bread in the air with a bunch of pigeons around. Luckily some lady dropped her lunch and all the birds flew away to feast!

At one of the hotels Jonty and I stayed at in Bali there was this beautiful buddha head painting above our bed. I wanted to try and recreate it with a statue that we had at home. Its similar but obviously not a painting. Im not really sure what to call this though.

I was so excited to see the sun I had to take a walk through the Elephant. I'm sure I will be exploring my neighborhood a lot over this next year. As I was walking though the deserted council housing I looked up and saw this. Blue skies with little fluffy clouds really make me happy!

Personal Reflection and a year long project...

One thing Ive always said is that I am not good with words. When I sit in front of a blank page it takes me forever to start to into what I have to say. I often start, erase and then start over again and again until I become so frustrated that I just give up. Then again this might be the reason why I am a photographer and not a writer.

However, this seems to be the running theme in my life. I often start things and stay interested for a bit and then move on to something else. Instead of viewing this as a negative thing I like to think that I am a searching spirit. Always wanting to explore and try new and exciting things and to really experience all that this life has to offer.

This has lead me to many different experiences in my life and through it all I have found my love for a lot of different things. Art, Music, Food, Theater, Photography...the list goes on and on. But it has also left me with a feeling of unfulfillment as Ive never stuck with any thing long enough to really get something substantial out of it.

Except in the case of my photography. I have been taking pictures for quite some time now and know that is more a part of me then anything else I have experimented with over the years. As you may have read in a previous post Ive been reworking this website. While doing this I have been checking out many other sites. Obviously a lot of photographers but also a lot of other types of artists as well. This has lead me to inspiration but at the same time it has also got me thinking that I am not where I want to be in my career. At just a few months over 30 I expected to be much further along then I currently am.

Therefore, I have decided (and been inspired by) to do a 365 day project. Where I will take a picture everyday for a whole year and post it. I feel that if I can stick to this project for the whole 365 days that not only will I break the cycle of giving in to giving up that I will also find inspiration and get a better picture (no pun intended) not only of who I am as a person but also what kind of photographer and artist I am.

I hope that these pictures will give any one who wonders by the site (be it a lone night web surfer or a potential client) a better vision of me and what I am capable of. I don't plan on censoring anything nor do I plan on taking pictures that need to be. Its just that I want to make sure that I am more personal with my work. After all I am a person and not a machine. Obviously the pictures on my site show you what kind of work I do but more importantly people stopping by here need a better understanding of who I am. I feel that is a big part in making a decision to work with me or not!
